Numbers 11:5

While the meat was yet between their teeth, before it was consumed, the anger of the Lord was kindled against the people, and the Lord struck down the people with a very great plague.

Numbers 11:33

When our imaginations for what is good for us extend beyond what God knows is good for us, it reaps us disaster.

When we do so, we distrust God’s ability to provide for our every need.

Contrary to the Israelite’s thoughts of what was good, and contrary to the American luxury of an excess of choices, in God’s economy, “just enough” is the most healthy place the human heart can be in.
