“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.”
Revelations 1:3

I was reading the book of Revelation last night and was thinking about this: if God’s people understood an inch of the promises that God has for his saints, we would surely live different lives.

But no, we like eating mud.

We like our football, and our shopping, our toys, and our boyfriends and our girlfriends, and all these things that have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on eternity. I thought Esau was foolish for trading his birthright for soup; and then I look at my life as realize I am not much more wise.
