My brother Leslie, who I met at the gym, drew this and sent it to me. He said this is what a Christian looks like on the inside. I liked it so much I uploaded it and wanted to explain what this picture was about.

Notice…
The Fire of the Holy Spirit is in him. Christians are defined by the Holy Spirit and it giving life and breath to the rest of the body. Romans 8 says “Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.”
The Word has renewed his mind. There’s a Bible in his brain because he has undergone the Romans 12 “transformational renewing of the mind.” He now lives by the light and the truth.
The Suffering of Christ on his hands and on his feet. Phil 3:10 “I want to know Christ, and the power of his resurrection, and may share in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.” Christ’ lives in us and we suffer like him as we serve him in this lost world.
The New Covenant on his heart. Jeremiah prophesied of believers to come, that God would “put his law within us, and will write it on our hearts. And He will be our God, and we shall be his people.” They don’t act morally because of a moral code outside of us, but because there is a moral code within us that we love and are renewed by.
The Living Waters flowing through his veins. Jesus spoke in John 7 that “whoever believes, streams of living water will flow from within him, welling up to eternal life.” It gives life to the rest of us and to others around us.
I was encouraged by this visual representation of a believer. And I hope that spiritually, this would look like us! (And, of course, all functioning correctly!)
