Warning: I don’t have anything to teach or profound to say in this post.
I’m just really curious how I can emulate the faith of this woman who received healing from Jesus instantaneously. It seems to be that a theme of Mark is the connection between receiving what Jesus has to offer and having the faith to do so.
After all, his response to the woman after the healing was: “Daughter, your faith has made you well…” Furthermore, in the next episode with the resurrection of the synagogue leader’s daughter, he instructs him as he is on his way, “Do not fear, only believe.”
What is the faith and the belief Jesus is looking for in the realm of healing? Surely I’ve seen and heard of miraculous healing. But with that I’ve also seen, experienced, and heard of healing which doesn’t seemingly take place.
Lord, what is the faith you are looking for to bring about the miracle of physical healing you model in your scriptures?
