Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”

Humility is being willing to be ministered by those whom you are minister over.
When Jesus asks John the Baptist to baptize him, do we think about what that is like? That is like having the Pope (I know most of us are not catholics, but bear the illustration) come to our church and you leading him in Bible study.
Strange right? But not for Jesus. Jesus was thoroughly blessed by John’s ministry…
Just because John was going to Jesus’ church, he wasn’t expecting himself to be just outputting blessings and receiving none. But Jesus, in humility, still receives blessing.
