Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain…
and he will give them showers of rain.Zechariah 10:1
We are instructed here to ask for rain in the rain season. Is that odd or are we missing something?
Why would we ask for rain when it’s raining already? I thought about that for a bit and came to this conclusion: That God’s heart is for the idea of more.
He loves blessing, but he loves more blessing. So much so that when we get a blessing of God, we shouldn’t be afraid to look up to our Father and say, “Yes, Lord, more!”
Jesus, I thank you that your heart is for more. You delight in blessing your people. Help me to, even in the midst of spiritual abundance, to ask for more.
