“Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’ for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord”

Jeremiah 1:7-8

As God answers Jeremiah’s concerns of his youth, God reassures Jeremiah that he will succeed. But the thing is, God never denies the difficulty of Jeremiah’s concerns.

It’s kind of like “Yeah you are a youth…but you’re going to do what I say”

His only promise is this: “I am with you…”

God’s response to our hesitations of obeying his great will for our lives is not to lessen the calling, but merely his presence in the task. His presence, in his opinion, is the greatest source of strength for the great callings that He gives his people.

He never hands out smaller callings in light of great challenges, only stronger people to rise to the occasion.
