I find that the older I get, the more often I call God by saying “oh Gracious God.”

I think it’s because the older I get, the more mistakes I’ve made. And the more mistakes I’ve made, the I feel like God should be distanced from me.

But, as it is, I am wrong–for in his love he forgives all that I do. And in his faithfulness, he still remains with me. I am increasingly awestruck by his commitment to me, and surprised by his grace.

And in the end, I find that when I call his name, I cannot help but see his graciousness, and call him such.

Oh Gracious God…Oh gracious God…
