“To hear the voice of God and to do otherwise…is idolatry.”
That is what the Holy Spirit spoke to me three weeks ago. It was a hard message to take.
When we hear God’s voice, and we choose to do different than what He says, we are essentially saying “there is another god we are following.” In the little decisions of life, if hear the Holy Spirit, we have to remember that it is GOD speaking and to disregard his voice is to worship another god, be it ourselves, what others say, our bodies, etc..
