“For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces,
and Judah has multiplied fortified cities;
so I will send a fire upon his cities,
and it shall devour her strongholds.”
Hosea 8:14
How can we explain the acts done by the Lord in response to Israel’s wickedness? He says here that he will send fire upon their cities and devour her strongholds. Does something rise up within you if the Lord were to do that for your city and your home?
Be not offended at the measures God takes to discipline His children.
For this is the truth: God would rather us see us homeless, barren, naked, miscarried, and torn than for us to be in a place of disobedience.
The worst place in the world is, therefore not tied to our circumstances, but it is outside the will and pleasure of God.
