For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”

Matthew 17:20

Faith is the most powerful thing in the world.

God has called us Christians to do great exploits for Him, but none will be accomplished without taking steps of faith. Faith is walking before seeing. Faith is talking before knowing. Faith is buying before having. Faith is trusting before given reasons.

The kingdom of heaven advances by faith.

It is because the step of faith calls us to leave our wisdom, our competence, and our strength behind. That’s when God can work, not us. Faith gives no glory to the one taking the step of faith- he only has to joy of seeing the greatness of God for those who trust in Him.

Faith takes the church from a human institution to a supernatural one. It puts the power back on Christ, it requires God’s people to be filled with Him, and it causes the people being ministered to him to give glory only to Him- not to any church or any individual.

Christians must walk by faith, and not by sight. We must take off the eyes of flesh to see the world, and replace it with the eyes of faith, the eyes of Christ, which sees the spectrum of the world as savable, and God’s playground for His glory.

We are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses in the scriptures, not because of their accomplishments or their endeavors, but because of their faith. They are known only for their trusting God and their bold steps of faith.

By faith, heaven will come to earth. By faith, God’s kingdom and power will be released in your family, your friends, your networks, your cities, and your nations. That’s because faith accesses God’s reach, and all of those are within God’s reach.

This is why, with faith, we are everything.
