Moses was Born free so he could lead a people towards freedom.

Unlike the rest of the Israelites, Moses wasn’t born into slavery. He was born into royalty.

This tension is best seen when, during the journey towards the promised land, and when the Israelites are met with resistance, their first thought is: “Let’s go back to the land of Egypt, to the reality of slavery.”

It is not a collision of Moses vs the people. It is a collision of normalcy.
God knew that the people who were born into slavery, upon resistance, would quickly revert back to what was normal for them. Moses led from the other side–freedom was normal; slavery wasn’t.

God used Moses’ upbringing to influence his calling. In the same way, God will use your upbringing to shape your calling.

What is your life story? And how can you imagine God using that in your calling and destiny?
