We all select music which reflect the true expression of our hearts.
If romance, then romantic music. If sadness, then sad music. If brokenness, then angry music. Everyone’s music collection is in fact a reflection of the position and health of their heart. Your iTunes, Windows Media Player, iPod, etc.. will tell a lot about who you are as a person.
And as I reflect upon this, I see how changed my heart has become.
I used to listen to a lot of junk, which came from an angry, discontent, broken young man.
But since meeting Jesus, my heart, and so subsequently, my music choice has changed.
What dominates my playlist are songs of praise, worship, and adoration of Jesus. There is a flowing theme in my heart which no longer cries out “broken!” “fix me!” “someone love me!” “I’m angry at life!”, but instead, it has been transformed to sing, “Jesus healed me,” “Jesus fixed me,” “Jesus is love,” “Jesus transformed my life,” and on and on…
Thank you Jesus, for changing my heart, and the songs which now proceed from there.
