Evangelism in America is hard because it is hard for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. And by every standard, America is “the rich” as described in the Bible.
It is hard to tell people that they are broken, when they are so well put together physically.
It is hard to tell people that they are poor, when they have so much materially.
It is hard to tell people that they need Jesus, when any sense of need they have is solved by a trip to Target / Walmart.
It is hard to tell people that they are sinners, when language of judgment and condemnation goes against the culture of offense.
It is hard to tell people to give their lives to God, when their allegiances are mostly to themselves.
It is hard to evangelize in America.
