“When you fast, do it so your fasting is not seen by others, but by your Father, and your Father will reward you.” Matt 6:17
As I read more and more of Jesus teachings, is it just me or is Jesus’ ethics based on a system of rewards?
I understand that Protestants are very anti “works” related, but I can’t help but see it in his words here as a motivation for righteous living.
