When I said, “My foot is slipping”
your love, O Lord, supported me

Psalm 94:18

The most I can identify with the Psalmist in this passage is the fact that, like him, my feet also slip.

My feet always slip.

I always stumble. My knees often feel feeble. In the path of following Jesus and trying to love and obey him with everything, I certainly stumble. Yet for every time I slip, there is hope, because…I am not alone, nor am I bereft of a helping hand.

The helping hand is the Lord’s love.

O how his love supports me every time I fall! Oh how his love carries me every time I try to get up again! Oh how his love encourages me when I set out to love him again!

Yes, it is your love which keeps my ever-slipping feet from falling too far.
