I am continually challenged by the love exhibited by Jesus’ life. He shows how tender the heart of God is by the way he interacts with people.
And when I read that, I am so convicted of my selfishness because I immediately remember how I spent my day-I spent it mostly for myself.
Then I asked the question: Lord, I have so many things to do in my schedule, how do you love people radically while attending to my responsibilities?
And that was the kicker:
I love people by my schedule. That’s how you love people. Time is the currency of love. A schedule devoted to myself is a life which loves myself.
How much of my schedule is set intentionally to love people? You’ll never show extravagant displays of love without positioning yourself to do so. And that means understanding that love requires time.
I need to love people with my schedule.
